A BRIEF HISTORY

Eastern Christian college, one of the pioneering college in Dimapur established in the year 1993 has been playing a pivotal role in delivering quality education since its inception which is evident from the fact that many graduates produced are successfully well placed and doing well in varied fields. The college has been truly able to empower young minds to develop their innate skills and talents which will continue to bring progress and development in our society.

It was the long felt need of many former graduates to form an Alumni Association to connect, renew and build stronger relationship with the Alma Mater. Inspite of challenges and life’s hectic schedules, it would be unfair to shy away from higher responsibilities and not say, express or share of gratitude to our very own Eastern Christian College.

So, under the valuable guidance and continued support of Mr.Talisunep Asst.Prof, Mr.Imcha Asst.Prof, Ms.Avikali Asst.Prof(Alumnus) and Mr.Kilang Office Assistant(Alumnus) the journey of starting Alumni Association started.

After much thought and discussion, the first meeting was held on 19th September, 2015 and it was decide to formally form an association. Although, the member turnout was less, it was decided to elect three members- Mr.Toshi and Mr.Inakhu as convenor and Miss.Tokutoli as secretary to co-ordinate all the alumni for the second meeting which was tentatively scheduled on October 2015.

As planned, the second meeting took place on 10th October 2015 and formally announced ‘Alumni Association’ and elected the following members: -

Ms.Avikali  - Info&Publicity Secretary

And the following people as Executives: -

10.Mr.Toshi Lkr - Businessman

11.Mr.Pulobe - Self-Employed

12.Mr.Kilang  -  Office Assistant (Eastern Christian College)

The main objective of forming an Alumni Association is to built vibrant relationship and render collective responsibility to help college continue to progress and prosper in our capabilities.
